About

I like to change things: perceptions, opportunities, organizations and even lives.
This desire has led me to work as a speaker, writer, entrepreneur and advisor. I wrote the book “Making It Personal: How to Profit from Personalization without Invading Privacy,” and have frequently helped organizations shift their strategy to build stronger, more personal relationships with customers, employees, or other stakeholders.
I love entrepreneurial people, and often get involved in start-up or aggressive growth situations. More recently, I’ve expanded my interests beyond the profit section and have worked with non-profit organizations, mainly because it feels good.
One of my passions is education, because it is the key to a good life and a functioning society. Most schools are still based on an outdated, assembly line approach and I am extremely interested in helping to change this.
Most of all, I’m open to new ideas. No one knows what the future will bring, but many people narrow their focus and close their minds (a little bit at a time) as they move through life. I’m trying to do the opposite.
